I am 12 years old and I need to know what products to use to get rid of my acne. Soap? Cleansers? Face lotion? Face toner? Facial masks? And how often? Keep in mind I am young I can`t use harsh products and chemicals and the product has to be for all skin types. I`ve been trying to find the answer for this question for months on end. Please help me!
What should I use for acne face products?

You can use a daily face wash that is sold at regular grocery stores or places like Walmart and Target. Make sure that it has salicylic acid, which helps to get rid of the acne. Try Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, or Clearasil. If that is too harsh for your skin, try Aveeno face washes.

Use the Clinique system for acne, it comes with a cleanser, mask and a lotion, way better than proactiv! I never use to have acne on my face, but after grad I started University I got some on my forehead and I went and bought this and now my skin is flawless again. Go to a clinique counter and ask one of the people for an acne solution!

Acne Marks or Scars
Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.
The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil
The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.
You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.
Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.
Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

To be honest it doesn’t matter, specific product brands basically do the same thing. The way to get rid of acne is by doing the basic THREE, cleanse, tone and moisturize. Proactiv do the following.
• Cleanser
• Toner
• benzoyl peroxide
Every morning and every night. Make sure you find a benzoyl peroxide with a light moisturiser in it, you don’t want your skin to dry out extensivly.
P.s. I scrub rather than use a cleanser

i inherited oily type skin from my parents and i have been having trouble with severe (i mean SEVERE) acne for years. after trying many products such as proactiv, acnefree, etc. i found out the MOST effective way to prevent acne is salicylic acid. its inexpensive and it really helped me clear all my acne. currently im using neutrogena oil free acne wash. its 2% salicylic acid, dont worry, salicylic acid is not harsh chemical, its a very common acne face wash. u dont have to pick neutrogena, any brand with 2% salicylic acid is fine. the most important thing about using it is “message”. its specifically stated on the back label. dont just put it on ur face and then rinse it off. u need to rub them in for at least 2-3 minutes. otherwise u are just wasting the product.
