I used to have moderate to severe acne. I cleared most of it up with Clinique’s acne system, but I’m looking for one that will completely clear my breakouts. What have you tried? What has been the best you have used? I have somewhat sensitive skin, so a slightly milder or more natural system would be better. Are there any tricks to completely clearing acne?
What is a good everyday acne system to use?

I have sensitive skin, and I really like Nuetrogena products that you can buy at a drug store.

Something like proactiv is good and then benzaclin but you have to have a prescription from a doctor to get benzaclin.

There are many products sold for the treatment of acne, many of them without any scientifically-proven effects. However, a combination of treatments can greatly reduce the amount and severity of acne in many cases. Those treatments that are most effective tend to have greater potential for side effects and need a greater degree of monitoring, so a step-wise approach is often taken. It is highly advisable to ask your doctor about the tradeoffs between these treatments for any individual case, especially when considering using any of them in combination. There are a number of treatments that have been proven effective:
Cotton pads soaked in salicylic acid solution can be used to exfoliate the skin[edit]
Exfoliating the skin
This can be done either mechanically, using an abrasive cloth or a liquid scrub, or chemically. Common chemical exfoliating agents include salicylic acid and glycolic acid, which encourage the peeling of the top layer of skin to prevent a build-up of dead skin cells which combine with skin oil to block pores. It also helps to unblock already clogged pores. Note that the word “peeling” is not meant in the visible sense of shedding, but rather as the destruction of the top layer of skin cells at the microscopic level. Depending on the type of exfoliation used, some visible flaking is possible. Moisturizers and anti-acne topicals containing chemical exfoliating agents are commonly available over-the-counter.

I have very sensitive and dry skin, I’ve tried just about everything on the market and I found that using Avon’s Clearskin Proffesional and Avon’s Solutions Maxium Moisture works great for me. No, I don’t work for Avon.

I go for the all natural cleansers- and I’ve been using dermae’s problem skin cleanser for a while now and it’s worked wonders for my acne. It contains tea tree oil, but only a little, so it’s not irritating. I have very sensitive skin as well. You can purchase it from whole foods, or just search up dermae on google and buy it from their website . It’s relatively inexpensive, but I recommend buying it from whole foods, as they let you return the produuct if it irritates your skin. there’s also a DIY mask that clears up acne as follows:
-green tea
-sugar
-honey
what you should do is first get your green tea ready. just have about four to five teaspoons. After that, put three teaspoons worth of green tea in a bowl. Then, put two teaspoon honey . Then, put two teaspoon sugar, all while stirring consistently. You’ll find that you have a bit of tea still left in your tea cup. Pour that into a spice jar/cup to use as a toner.
Now, to the mask. The sugar is great for opening scars, and this will help remove many of your scars. Apply the mask with a cotton pad, then ub the mask on your face as you would use a moisturizer, using your middle and ring fingers in circular motions. After doing this for about 1-2 minutes, leave the mask on for about 20 minutes. Then, you can wash it off, apply your new green tea toner, and don’t forget to moisturize!
Please remember to use this mask after cleansing your face!
you can also steam your face using a facial steamer, or if you don’t want to buy one or don’t have one, just get a bowl of boiling water and put your face in the steam on top of it, but be careful. Also, after using that , using the cortisone tomato fresh pack mask will moisturize and help rid acne.
But remember, the easiest way to get rid of acne is to drink more water. Water will wash away all impurities that cause acne. Also, try to enjoy life. Sometimes, when angry/depressed/ stressed, acne will appear on your face. <-that's my main source of acne. Remember that everyone needs a break, so treat yourself to something you enjoy doing once a week.

There is Skin id, but i havent tried that one but i have a homeremedie
get a cup of rice
put it in a bowl with water doesnt matter how many
let it sit over night
drain the rest of the water put it in a blender grind it till its smooth
then add a lemon stirr it
the put it in the freezer for 25 min the
wash ur face and has to be dry
put it on like a mask then leave it on for 30min wash off with medium hot water
see results in a week

first put alcohol(or any astringent) on a cotton ball or pad then clean your face,then rub on face lotion on(olay products work great)

Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.
The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil
The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.
You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.
Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.
Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

Listen to this. I haven’t had a single pimple for at least 2 years because of this. When before I had quite a few pimples on my face constantly and it was always a problem and embarrassment. This is what I did.
I never washed my face at night or anything, all I did is whenever I took a shower, no other time, just in the shower, I used any white bar soap that was in there and washed my face with it. That’s the only thing I did and it took like 2 months to get rid of it completely but most things after it works for a while it will stop working. Well I still do that same thing!! And I’m so happy. It has never ever stopped working for me. Do not use any other product at all [except makeup of course if you’re a girl!!] BUT if your face gets dry [bar soap tends to do that] then use EUCERIN [no other brand of product] lotion. Regular, or specifically for the face, it doesn’t matter, just put that on after the shower, even under makeup if needed, and you’ll be good. It’s the perfect solution. I’m not kidding at all!! OH!!!! And healthy food and moist food [fruit, especially watermelon] really helps skin complexion.

Here is my skincare regime and it works wonders. The problem with most of the products out there in the market is that they contain detergent which will remove dirt, oil, and makeup but it also strips your skin of water. It’s not labelled as detergent in the ingredients but it’s called Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. When your skin is dehydrated, it breaks down more quickly and will cause you to age faster because you loose elasticity in your skin (starts to droop and wrinkle). That’s why most skin care is a huge marketing ploy. They sell you stuff that appears to work so you use it but then you begin to age prematurely so they can sell you wrinkle creams and things of that nature much faster than you ordinarily would need them… If you follow this regime and do it twice a day (morning & night) I promise you will have much clearer skin and you’ll be slowing down the aging process.
1. Start by using a good eye makeup remover. The best ones are those that are half water and half oil that you need to shake up first. Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover is perfect for that and it’s about $26 at Sephora or department stores. The reason these work best is because oil will break down makeup much faster and more gently causing you to rub your eyes a lot less which is less irritating. It’s also great at removing waterproof makeup. Use it on a cotton all over your eyes and brows if you use any pencil or powder in them.
2. Get a cream cleanser that is NOT water activated. I have one I got from Target called Boots Botanics Organic Nourishing Cleanser which is $7.99 and it works great. Simply squeeze out an amount about the size of a quarter into your DRY hands and rub it together then onto your DRY face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. You can then rinse it off with water or a damp washcloth but make sure you don’t use any water when you are working this into your face at first. I know this sounds weird but almost all the cleansers that are water-activated contain detergent and that is what causes our skin to become dehydrated. When skin is lacking water, it compensates by producing more oil. The detergent also causes blackheads because it leaves a residue on the skin that clogs the pores.
3. Use an alcohol-free toner on two cotton pads and wipe off your face in downward and outward strokes. Toner will remove any excess cleanser on your face, leaving it completely clean and fresh. I use Neutrogena’s Alcohol-Free Toner and it’s $6.49 also at Target.
4. Use a daytime moisturizer and a night cream. During the day, our skin is fighting to hold in as much water as possible but we are subjected to so many dehydrating elements that we need to replenish that moisture at night when our skin is at rest. A daytime moisturizer will help act as a barrier for your skin so even if you are oily, use one! If you’re worried about shine, go for an oil-free formula and if you are dry, use a richer moisturizer. At night, use a night cream (not the same daytime moisturizer) because night creams replenish the moisture you lost during the day. Just be sure mineral oil is not one of the ingredients in the NIGHT cream (can be in the day moisturizer) because mineral oil acts as a seal so nothing will penetrate your skin if that is in it. You can pick whatever you prefer and Target has several reasonable ones so pick what you like for your skin type.
5. Use a yoghurt mask every day if your acne is really bad and once it clears up, use it 1-2 times a week. Go to the grocery store and find either a lemon, orange, or pineapple-flavored yoghurt (any brand is fine) and apply it all over your face and let it sit for 10-15mins. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. The cultures in yoghurt help neutralize the bacteria in pores (a blemish is simply a bacteria-filled pore) and the citric acid in the lemon, orange, or pineapple will help you exfoliate the top layer of skin which will be much better than using a scrub. DO NOT use a scrub, especially the granular ones (if you must use one, only go for one with micro-beads) because when you put that over a blemish, it will spread the bacteria to the surrounding pores and also can scar the pores which makes them bigger.

I had clear skin for 2 years, and recently stress from school has caused me to break out again. But as far as regimen is concerned, the best products were:
NIGHT:
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (it’s gentle, so you can’t go wrong. I have sensitive skin too).
Clearasil Daily Cleansing Pads (I use this as a “toner”).
Benzaclin Acne treatment (it’s a prescription, so ask your doctor).
The trick is to apply the Benzaclin with your pinky finger so that your face can FULLY absorb the product.
I didn’t moisturize because my skin was on the oily side.
MORNING:
Wash face with gentle cleanser (or you can even just splash water on it).
Neutrogena Acne Cream (2.5% BP)
Elizabeth Arden Calming Moisture Lotion (or any moisturizer that’s gel based).
Follow up with a good sunblock.
Supplements to clease within:
Omega 3-6-9 pills
Tons of water
At least 3 cups of Green Tea
PLENTY OF REST: Sleep and wake up EARLY. Don’t sleep at 2 am and wake up at 1 pm the next day. it’s just as unhealthy as only getting 2 hours of sleep a night. When you sleep and wake up early, you become a lot LESS stressed with all the things that come your way.

then take an electric toothbrush and SOFTLY brush around the face.
